Wales Meets Yale is a two-part docuseries following the Yale Concert Band’s first-ever visit to Wales, and their historic collaboration with one of Wales’ oldest choirs, Llantrisant Male Choir.

Together, they combine their cultures and musical traditions in two unforgettable benefit concerts, supporting Life For African Mothers in Cardiff, and Prostate Cymru in the Rhondda Valley.

With humour, warmth, and heart, Wales Meets Yale blends powerful performances with deeply personal and inspiring stories. Celebrating Welsh heritage and the rich history of South Wales, the series shows how music can transcend borders, raise awareness, and inspire action to help save lives.

Let The Children Sing!

Let The Children Sing! follows a group of orphaned and at-risk children in Liberia, West Africa who form the Matsiko World Orphan Choir and embark on an extraordinary journey to secure education and hope for their communities, challenging perceptions of poverty and preventing child trafficking.

Filmed entirely by the choir over two and a half years, this uplifting docuseries shares their resilience, joy, and the life-changing power of music as they travel across the USA in search of sponsors to educate and empower countless lives.

Episode 1: Meet the Matsiko World Orphan Choir

Meet the orphaned and at-risk children from Liberia, West Africa, living in poverty, hoping to get selected for a choir that will tour the USA to try and get free schooling for 1,000 children.

Joanna & Jessica, teenage sisters, describe living in a brothel; Janjay (13) shares how she sells on the street to survive.

Alvina (18), a leader and former choir kid, tells of a life of insecurity and her dream of attending school.

Meshach (22) discusses his journey from the street to medical college.

Moses (18), a child saved from traffickers, tells us his story. Learn how loving parents willingly sell children for a better future.

Caroline (15) reveals a life of danger and a life-changing decision.

Sonny (23), a former choir kid, recounts a life of watching only the elite go to school and how his life changed when he joined the choir.

Watch how the forgotten children are being given self-esteem, daring to dream, and the importance of hugging.

The importance of music in Liberia is explained by former choir kid Ester (21), who tells how her mother could not send her to school and is now training to be a doctor.

Miracle (15) aims to change Uncle Jimmy’s life.

Faith (18) tells of escaping a life of crime and danger.

Masse (15) describes how she is trying to avoid an unwanted marriage to fulfil her dream of becoming an accountant.

The choir gives a surprise performance in one of Monrovia’s elite hotels, and Choir Director Zach ponders on which children to select.

The choir is selected for the USA tour and invited to meet Liberia’s Nobel Peace Prize winner, perform for the President, and appear on national radio.

The choir also visit a group of teenage survivors of sexual abuse, who share their horrific stories, which led to them forming the STOP-GBV support group.

And an incident with Faith may lead to her being withdrawn from the team.

Before leaving for the United States, the choir visit the Rockhill Community in Liberia. As they adapt to life in the USA, they experience many new experiences, performing in many iconic locations.

Christina (15) and Melvina (20) share how their family lives during the rainy season.

While in California, the choir is reunited with old friends and receive an unexpected invitation to perform the Star-Spangled Banner at an American Football Stadium.

As the choir travels across 41 states in the USA, bringing love and joy everywhere they go, they struggle to hit their target of 1,000 educational sponsors.

An unexpected encounter leads to a sellout performance with some of the world’s best jazz musicians in New York City.

The team is rocked by Gabriel’s fears of returning to Liberia.

The series ends with some emotional scenes.
