Following the success of ‘Through These Eyes’, the Matsiko World Orphan Choir from Liberia, West Africa, have released their second single: ‘You’re The Only One’.
The song was written by the same writing-producing duo as ‘Through These Eyes’, Reel Stories Founder Mark Lee Hegarty, and his musical partner, Al Steele. The song was originally written for Mark Lee’s band ‘Hegsy and The Elements’, however the children in Liberia heard the song and didn’t stop singing it!
Inspired by this, Mark Lee rewrote the lyrics and recorded new lead vocals by Alvina Dehwaye and Mallay Mulbah, both of the Matsiko World Orphan Choir, at Studio 14 in Monrovia, Liberia.
The music video was filmed on-location in Liberia by former choir member Moses Mo.
Continuing the Matsiko Liberia theme, Welsh graphic designer Alex Griffith worked closely with Reel Stories founder Mark Hegarty to produce a brand new vibrant artwork based around an image of choir member Mohammed.
