Rugby has the power to transform lives. Liberia 7-15 will introduce rugby to Liberia, West Africa, not just as a sport but as a tool to empower women, prevent violence, and educate communities about gender-based violence (GBV).
Liberia is still recovering from two brutal civil wars that devastated its people, leaving a legacy of trauma and a crisis of sexual violence. Change is needed—not just through aid, but through action.
This project will:
- Establish rugby 7s in all 15 counties of Liberia, building school and adult teams for both girls and boys, men and women
- Implement the world’s first mandatory sexual violence prevention program in sports, ensuring all players complete education on gender equality and GBV prevention before competing
- Create a national rugby team, uniting Liberia on the global rugby stage
- Film the journey, sharing Liberia’s spirit through an aspiring docuseries to raise awareness and fund continued progress
This is bigger than rugby—it’s about hope, education, and lasting change. By supporting Liberia 7-15, you are investing in a safer, stronger future for Liberia’s youth.
Join us in making history. Let’s give Liberia a game to love, and a movement to believe in.
